Did you know that when a child is removed from their home, they are placed in a Group Home or a temporary foster home? As the court winds through mountains of paperwork, these kids, living with complete strangers, must fend for themselves. Many leave their original home with a trash bag quickly filled with the essentials. Usually there isn’t time to pick through the laundry for appropriate clothing.
When we found out about this situation, we contacted one of the largest foster placements in So California and make an appointment to load them up with some of the new clothing from our warehouse. Some of these kids have never had a NEW jacket before we showed up.
