There is no question that Machado Family Giving would not have the success we have without the immense generosity from Kings Warriors and their church, Touch of Masters. We met them in a liquor store parking lot, where they were ministering the some of the poorest people in the community of San Bernardino.
We were brand new, offering new backpacks, stuffed with jackets, socks, hygiene products—something people who are homeless don’t often see.
Our family had a simple pop-up canopy and one grandchild with us, who couldn’t walk yet.
As we made our rounds, we had an instant rapport with Pastor Peter and Ray Baldonado. They asked us to meet them later in the week and discuss collaboration. We have been partners ever since and they have been nothing but fantastic individuals and partners.
